Salvaged Axe is quite an expensive tool for gathering resources. Extraction speed for wood is 28 pieces per second, versus the usual 27.7 hatchet. The difference is not very big, but the main advantage of a salvaged axe - it is a very low repair cost. It can also be used as a melee weapon.

Как оружие ближнего боя

Урон, наносимый самодельным топором не так уж и плох для оружия ближнего боя:
Урон по голове (Head) - 30
Урон по телу (Chest) - 55
Урон по рукам (Arms) - 16

Начиная с версии 687.80, топор можно бросать, при этом сила урона многократно увеличивается, а сам топор приобретает свойства метательного оружия (см. "Типы урона"). После броска топор можно подобрать.
